Opportunity walk to my door when I was down on my luck
In the face of an old friend with a plan guaranteed
Walk me to the car, show me a little paper, and shoes fine as leather
He said "You can wear this style, take my advice"
He had a gun - the caliber escapes me
But I noticed right away it made me ill
He had an address, numbers on the back
And a rail-safe tire iron
Lord, What's that for?
I asked the man with eyes wide open, put the knowledge in my head
He said "Opportunity, world wide adventure, money in the bank"
So we did the job - the ? was so well done
No one saw us coming, much less leave
But what I dropped, carry my credentials
And a black white picture of you and me
Where's that from, I ask a cop
With eyes wide open and knowledge in my head
He said "Opportunity, world wide adventure, let me have your hands"
Opportunity came in my door with a plan guaranteed
